About This Book

Dinah Hammer keeps her brother Judah's empire running — the books, the family, the secrets. She's never let herself want anything for herself.

Until Dan Martin walks into her life, and for the first time since her own nightmare with Wallace North, she lets her guard down.

But someone is coming for the Hammers. One of Judah's men is murdered and mailed back in pieces — a warning from an enemy no one can name.

Judah calls in private investigator Sam Sharpe, newly sober and never quite free of this family, to find out who.

What they uncover is bigger than a turf war.

When the attack finally comes, it doesn't just draw blood. It shatters what's left of the family's innocence, drags a twelve-year-old boy into manhood at gunpoint, and forces Dinah and Judah to become people they swore they'd never be.

Some families protect each other. The Hammers go to war.

The 6-book saga that began with a missing boy comes to its explosive, blood-soaked conclusion.

Fans of Don Winslow, Harlan Coben, John Sandford, and Lee Child will race through this explosive sixth Hammer & Sharpe thriller—a story of loyalty, deception, family, and the terrible price of trusting the wrong person.

I found Mama’s boy to be a riveting read from the prologue through the epilogue. It’s full of unexpected plot twists, unlikely heroes, and robust,
evolving characters. The book also addresses many social, psychological, and political issues that are relevant to present times. Great book!

As an avid reader and lover of all kinds of mysteries, I found this book to be a terrific twisty tale full of surprises. The characters were all very well thought out, dialogue for each of them was distinct and unique, and the way the author wove them throughout the plot created an enjoyable read that kept me guessing. I felt that this author created a villain with depth, full of evil, and yet dealing with a past that made his actions believable and even understandable. Even with the exceptionally large cast of characters, the book was well written and it was easy to keep everyone straight. I would definitely read more books by this author.
